Your scanner and scanner software might look a bit different to the ones in the slideshow, but the basic ways of working will be the same.

Take some old printed photos you have at home and scan them in to the computer. Save them in a file that is in order of the time they were taken. All images should be saved as .jpg (read about the difference between a .gif and a .jpg here).
